Buttermilk is a result of making butter that during the churning process remains more of a liquid. Pure dehydrated buttermilk from Wisconsin. Perfect for salad dressings, pancake mixes, or any recipe that calls for buttermilk.
Rehydrate this sweet cream buttermilk powder with equal parts water and you have buttermilk! If you don't use buttermilk often, this is a great product to have around for biscuits, pancakes and other baking projects. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 1 year. We do not recommend refrigeration or freezing.

Add 3 cups buttermilk powder to 3.75 quarts water to make 1 gallon liquid buttermilk.
For one cup of liquid buttermilk, mix 3 Tbsp Buttermilk Powder to 7.5 oz. water (1 cup minus 1 Tbsp).
To reduce clumping, mix with warm water and chill overnight.
Shelf Life: 10-12 months

Homemade Sour Cream and Onion Mix
Makes about 1/3 cup powdered mix
1/4 cup Hoosier Hill Farm Buttermilk Powder
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp dried dill
1 tsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp finely grated parmesan cheese
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. Store in an air-tight container or jar in the refrigerator up to one month.
*Mix into plain Greek yogurt or sour cream for a creamy sour cream and onion dip for veggies or baked chips or shake over popcorn for healthy flavorful seasoning.
Perfect “Just Add Water” Home-Made Pancake Mix
Yield: Each 2 1/4 cup mix makes 9 pancakes
Recipe makes enough for 4 mixes
2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups cake flour
1 cup Hoosier Hill Farm Whole Powdered Milk or Instant Non-Fat Milk Powder
3/4 cup Hoosier Hill Farm Old-Fashioned Malted Milk Powder
1/3 cup sugar
2 Tbsp Hoosier Hill Farm Double Active Baking Powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 Tbsp salt
1/2 cup Hoosier Hill Farm Real Butter Powder
1/4 cup + 3 TBS Hoosier Hill Farm Whole Egg Powder
3/4 cup Hoosier Hill Farm Buttermilk Powder
Measure and sift the ingredients (as needed) and mix well. When ready to cook, whisk 2 1/4 cups mix with 1 cup minus 1 TBS water. Prepare your griddle (over medium low heat) by placing a good sized drop of water on it and heating. Once the water drop boils the griddle is hot enough to cook. Spray with nonstick cooking spray and wipe any excess oil from the pan. Cook by 1/4 cup portions about 2 minutes per side. Serve and enjoy!

2 tsp. dried onion flakes
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1 tsp. dried chives
