I sent this to my daughter, to use with the popcorn machine she got for her birthday a few months ago. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but she says this makes homemade popcorn taste just like "smart food" popcorn, which is one of our favorites. I'm sure we'll be back for more!
Actually, it means spiced apples. We are enjoying our Cinnamon Imperials teamed up with this fall's harvest for a delicious, spicy treat. You can use the recipe below for a warm cinnamon apple dish, or simply melt our Cinnamon Imperials and coat the outside of a fresh apple for a variation of a Candied Apple. We even like to add a handful to a mug of hot cider for a wonderfully sweet warm up. The sky's the limit!
Imperial Apple Pie Snack
1 Medium Fuji Apple, cored and cut into 1/2 inch cubes
15 Pieces of Hoosier Hill Farms Imperials
2 low-fat cinnamon graham cracker pieces
2 tablespoons fat-free whipped topping
Dash of cinnamon to taste
Put apple cubes in a microwave cup or mug. Top with imperials. Cover and microwave for 2 minutes. Stir well. Re-cover and microwave for an additional 1 to 2 minutes, until apple cubes are soft. When cool, mix well, and let cool for about 10 minutes. Place graham crackers in a plastic bag and crush. Top apples with the crushed graham crackers and whipped topping. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and enjoy!
