- Use on broccoli, cauliflower, and asparagus dishes, as well as hamburger and pasta casseroles.

- Sprinkle blue cheese powder over French fries, popcorn, pretzels, or baked potatoes.

- Mix blue cheese powder with butter or sour cream to create cheese sauces.

- Bake into breads for easy cheesy dinner rolls.

- Add to your breading mixture to give zing to breaded chicken, pork chops, etc.

- Stir into refried beans for a cheesy dip or spread for burritos.

Recipe for Blue Cheese Dressing: add 3 Tablespoons Blue Cheese Powder to 1/2c mayonnaise & 1/2c sour cream, with some sugar and vinegar to taste. Try adding cottage cheese to make the lumps.

Cheddar Blue Garlic Bread Bites

1/4 inch thick slices of French Sourdough baguette, cut on diagonal
softened butter
granulated garlic to taste
granulated onion to taste
to taste Hoosier Hill Farm Cheddar Cheese Powder
to taste Hoosier Hill Farm Blue Cheese Powder
to taste Hoosier Hill Farm Hungarian Paprika

Spread baguette slices with softened butter. Mix dry ingredients and sprinkle onto buttered baguette slices. Place under broiler until golden brown (be watchful, they brown quickly).
BLUE CHEESE (MILK, SALT, CULTURES & ENZYMES), DISODIUM PHOSPHATE (<2%).

    This is very flavorful. I appreciate it doesn't have the additives of other powdered cheeses. On the other hand I was hoping for a shelf life longer than 10 1/2 months. Cheese is so full of cholesterol and salt that I use it sparingly.

    I originally bought this product to include in a recipe for savory bread. I find that I am more often mixing it in soup (all kinds of soup) and sprinkling it on salads. It is delicious, and turns canned soup into a gourmet meal! Note that the powder is very fine and is slightly hydrophobic, so you need to whisk it a bit in order to incorporate it into liquids.

    Great way to have blue cheese when you want it. Nice substitute, and it does not rot. You can control the strength of the flavor quite easily. No lingering cheese smells in the refrigerator when you are done; make only what you will use at one sitting.

    This is a pretty versatile product and on the whole I'm enjoying it. It's good mixed in with bread crumbs to coat baked chicken, or sprinkled over a baked potato or pasta. I don't always think to buy blue cheese and it's nice having this in the pantry.The flavor is a bit mild but I like it that way - it doesn't overpower the food but still maintains a definite blue cheese flavor.

    I love blue cheese & make my own dressing with real crumbled blue cheese & sour cream. It's getting kind of expensive though, because I like a lot blue cheese flavor. I thought I'd try a little bit of this freeze dried blue cheese to affordably augment the flavor & while still maintaining control the ingredients in my dressing! I loved the results of the dressing!! & I don't have to use so much actual crumbled blue cheese.I also used this in cheddar & broccoli soup I was making - again, I wanted more cheese flavor, but I felt like I would have to add another 8oz of shredded cheddar cheese to get the soup cheesy enough, so I added a few tablespoons to the pot & my soup tasted great! It tasted cheesy, & not necessarily like "blue" cheese.I think I will always have this in my pantry!

    This is such a great way to store blue cheese for those times you want some. I just finished making some blue cheese dressing and I couldn't be more pleased with this product. It is awesome tasting!!!

    Sure would like to have a recipe for Blue Cheese Dressing that actually works; if you try to put 3 oz of this powder into 1/2 cup of sour cream and 1/2 cup of Miracle whip you would have something akin to spackle. Since Hoosier Hill Farm makes this product I would expect them to at least give a decent recipe for using it. Vague statements like add some sugar and some vinegar show no one ever used this product. I have ONE recipe to use the product, and that was from a chef on TV. It will certainly not use a pound of blue cheese powder. So, I doubt I'll be buying more if I can't find a decent recipe. Burden of this should fall on the producer.

    I used to purchase this all the time (through Amazon) - it was always the best thing to use on vegetables and Buffalo Wings - until the last shipment I got. This last pound I received is gray, cakey and tastes like chalk with absolutely no cheese flavor of any type (not even an inkling of blue cheese).
