Actually, it means spiced apples. We are enjoying our Cinnamon Imperials teamed up with this fall's harvest for a delicious, spicy treat. You can use the recipe below for a warm cinnamon apple dish, or simply melt our Cinnamon Imperials and coat the outside of a fresh apple for a variation of a Candied Apple. We even like to add a handful to a mug of hot cider for a wonderfully sweet warm up. The sky's the limit!
Imperial Apple Pie Snack
1 Medium Fuji Apple, cored and cut into 1/2 inch cubes
15 Pieces of Hoosier Hill Farms Imperials
2 low-fat cinnamon graham cracker pieces
2 tablespoons fat-free whipped topping
Dash of cinnamon to taste
Put apple cubes in a microwave cup or mug. Top with imperials. Cover and microwave for 2 minutes. Stir well. Re-cover and microwave for an additional 1 to 2 minutes, until apple cubes are soft. When cool, mix well, and let cool for about 10 minutes. Place graham crackers in a plastic bag and crush. Top apples with the crushed graham crackers and whipped topping. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and enjoy!
