Buttery Cheddar Potato Skins

Ingredients

  • 6 russet potatoes
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tbsp chives
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp Hoosier Hill Farm Buttery Cheddar Flavor Booster
  • Sour Cream for serving

Directions

Step one: Preheat oven to 425F.

Step two: Wash potatoes and poke each potato with a fork 5-6 times. Rub them with oil and sprinkle with salt. Place potatoes directly on the middle rack of the oven and bake for 40-50 minutes or until tender when poked with a fork.

Step three: Remove the potatoes from the oven and let cool. When cool, cut the potatoes in half length-wise and scoop out the middle, leaving about a 1/4-1/2 inch thick of a shell.

Step four: In a bowl, combine melted butter, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Brush this on the inside and outside of the potatoes. Place the potatoes back on the baking sheet with the cut side down and cook for 15 minutes. Flip the potatoes over and cook for 5 minutes.

Step five: Fill the potatoes with cheese and bacon. Place back in the oven for another 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

Step six: Remove from the oven and top with Hoosier Hill Farm Buttery Cheddar Flavor Booster and chives.

Step seven: Serve with sour cream.
