How to Use: To make a basic Three Cheese Sauce, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove water from heat and whisk in ⅓ cup of sauce mix, stirring thoroughly for a smooth and creamy consistency. Allow sauce to stand for 1-2 more minutes until slightly thickened. Serve with pasta, potatoes, steamed veggies, and more!

For a cheesy dip recipe, follow the instructions for a basic sauce noted above, but increase the sauce mix to ½ cup for a thicker consistency. Serve with chips or fries.

For a creamy soup base, follow the instructions for a basic sauce noted above, but decrease the sauce mix to ¼ cup.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. We do not recommend refrigerating or freezing this product.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup Hoosier Hill Farm Three Cheese Sauce Mix
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 lb elbow macaroni
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • ½ tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 2/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt to taste

Directions

Step one: To make your baked mac & cheese, start by preheating the oven to 400F and place the rack in the center position.

Step two: Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil in a large pot, and add in a touch of salt. When the water boils, add pasta and cook 1 minute shy of al dente, according to the package instructions. Drain the pasta and set aside.

Step three: While the pasta cooks, make your cheese sauce. Bring 2 cup of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove water from heat and whisk in 2/3 cup of Three Cheese Sauce Mix, stirring thoroughly for a smooth and creamy consistency.

Step four: Add garlic powder, mustard powder, and pepper to the sauce and season with salt. Stir until the sauce is smooth and thick.

Step five: Once the sauce for the baked mac & cheese is well blended, stir the cooked pasta into the cheese sauce. Pour mixture into the baking dish.

Step six: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 2 tbsp of butter. Add the panko bread crumbs and coat completely. Sprinkle bread crumbs over the mac & cheese.

Step seven: Bake the mac & cheese until the bread crumbs are golden brown and the sauce is bubbling, about 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and enjoy!
