Butter Powder

It mixes nicely with cold water. Has a gritty texture until the water saturates. Really didn’t check the ingredients until now. So even though it says real butter, which it is, the other ingredients take up space. Nonfat dry milk and least we not forget salt. Definitely don’t need to add salt. It’s easy to calculate doses. I needed 2 tbsp of butter, so 1/4 cup powered butter, 1 tbsp cold water, will equal = 2 tbsp of butter. The taste reminds me of the real butter in the Philippines. Tastes like butter but not quite there. But, no one should expect it to taste exactly like butter. Anywho, we need it so that one doesn’t have to add an extra ingredient in the end.

Absolutely No mixing instructions

Just use butter. Bought it for popcorn not a big difference in taste.. almost like powdered popcorn might as well eat it plain

Great idea to worthless in seconds. Unfortunately we didn't notice until we started mixing ingredients.*packaged in a facility shared by treenuts, peanuts, dairy, soy, and wheat products.Hope that helps someone else avoid the same disappointment or worse.

Doesn’t mix well ... clumps formed even after its mixed vigorously ... item is non refundable so I would not suggest buying it online because in stores at least u can return it if u dont like it ! Out of money on this one ...

I do not care for the taste of this butter. I purchased it with the intention of using it as a seasoning on popcorn. The flavor tastes strange to me, not like the flavor of fresh melted butter at all. I would not purchase it again.

Don’t waste your money. Doesn’t do well to reconstitute and doesn’t taste good in baking with it. Bottom line doesn’t taste good. Tasted like the powder they put in those microwaveable Mac and cheese packs :(

Doesn't taste like butter

Tub is way to big. Who needs 100 lbs of butter power. My daughter bought it for the PCT and I will have the huge remainder of it for the next 10 years.

I wanted this as a substitute of butter in my desert., but it has salt in it which I could not use.

I just received this product and it is suppose to have a 10 year shelf life if unopened. The best by date is Sept 2021. That is only 6 months of freshness. What the heck?

taste is ok but way to thin when mixed

I wanted this primarily for baking. I know enough to warm water and wisk things together before I add it to the recipe. The amount of water needed seems highly variable, and that is an issue when you are baking recopies that only need a single tablespoon of water. The results have been subpar so far. Taste is good, but the dough tends to be too wet or falls apart. Cookies also do not spread nearly as much as normal. For the price, I expected better.

The product is awesome. I have ordered it several times but in my last few orders, I have had an issue it is not with the product but with the amazon fulfillment center. They keep sending the plastic container of butter powder in a thin plastic bag so that the corners are squashed in and broken. I contacted the company and they said to contact amazon, I have contacted amazon. Clearly whoever is in charge of shipping this item is not concerned if I get a quality product to set on myself. I do not want to wait for my product or return the product over and over, just ship it correctly so it will not be damaged! This is a great item but frankly, I am frustrated with ordering it and having the same issues because of shipping

At least if they were useless and you knew it you could pick another starting point for powder/water ratio. If you mix it one part powder to one part water you will get basically colored water. Soo I started adding water after waiting 24 hours thinking it might thicken? naaa... luckily I have one of those little cordless mixers with the little whip on it. mixing with a spoon is an exercise in futility unless lumps are your thing. soo added powder seemed to make only a slight difference at a 2/1 ratio 3/1 ? starting to look like cool whip. I would suggest starting with a ratioof 3/1 powder/water. Taste.... honestly? not bad but a tad bland adding less than a pinch of salt to the container I used...it is maybe 8 oz but half full... almost too much salt but improved taste. I actually bought this stuff for emergency use and it is plenty good for that.

Unfortunately, this doesn't have the 'butter flavor' I had hoped for, which does NOT mean this doesn't taste like butter, as it does, IF I think of think of butter tasting more like cream than the actual 'butter' flavor I hoped for, which comes out when butter is heated - which may be my problem - maybe IF I heat it, the flavor will develop?! As I specifically got this for 'buttered popcorn' it falls short on the flavor I was looking for, BUT to use in place of butter in recipes for example, it works beautifully, so that is what I'll use it for unless/until I find it way/means to develop the flavor for my popcorn which has become a daily bedtime snack lately!! While the cost is significantly more than I'd pay for the same amount of butter, there's something to be said about the convenience of having it avail in this form for any time I run out, or don't have access to refrigeration! I'd buy it again to keep on hand.

DYI granola bars required butter powder. This is a wonderful buy. Looking forward towards making more items with this.

I wanted this product to enhance my homemade bread that is shelf stable. I like the added flavor in my bread and I am exploring other uses. I intend to buy again.

This product is convenient when you need it for keto meals in a pinch. Although the taste is not as great as another product I’ve purchased but, this one comes in bulk and a plastic container which made the convenience even better.Definitely didn’t have the butter taste I wanted.

The flavor is good. Do not mix according to directions, add much less water. Will not melt on toast, however, you still get the flavor of the butter. Given that this product isn't intended for everyday use (as when real butter is available), it will be welcome in situations where butter isn't available and/or in long term food preps. Frankly, I am amazed that this can be done at all with butter!

I didn't even know this was a thing hahaha we use this with our cheddar and white header powder for popcorn seasoning
