Big Daddy Mac Mix, No Color Added

I took a long shot on this product with zero peraonal reviews and zero input / minimal expectation after browsing for a replacement to the classic old *unnamed boxed* Mac n Cheese.I haven't been able to eat a bowl of boxed Mac n Cheese for a LONG time and bougie gourmet mac is great but just not the nostalgic kick I crave sometimes!When i watch others eat the boxed mac i can get pretty jealous sometimes. But eating it is just not worth the pain it brings.I am allergic to the dyes, both synthetic numbered dyes and the "natural" Annato. They give me a medium to serious migraine within minutes and my body breaks out in hives within 24 hours.I am pleased to report that this stuff is a legit substitute to fulfill the cravings. Everyone in the house bought off on it too. Being able to make it with any variety of noodles is primo too.10/10 will buy again.

I get tons of compliments on this for mac and cheese. Kids love it and I pre-package for the convenience of a box with out all the junk. It comes to about $2.25 a"box"

I wanted a cheese powder that was healthier than what comes with most mac & cheese kits. This fit the bill, I just wish it tasted better.

No taste to it just a color

Tastes just like the flaming orange stuff you grew up with. Without all the yellow dye. But without the yellow dye the brain is able to pay more attention to the actual flavor which is not quite as cheesy as I remember no matter which brand I buy. I would buy this again.

I LOVE this powder. Sometimes I would buy boxed macaroni and cheese just to get the packet of cheese powder, and I would trash the low quality pasta in favor of high fiber & high protein pasta. I love that it doesn’t have any added colors, it tastes amazing, and I feel like I’m eating a cheat meal, when in reality I can make a high quality dish with the flavor of comfort junk food. It’s super versatile, and I have mixed it in milk, cream, oat milk, soymilk and plain water. I will definitely purchase again.

I can see how this would be a great project if your kids like the blue box Mac and Cheese. My kids don’t prefer the blue box, so unfortunately they didn’t care for this. I had hoped I found a short cut, but I did not. However, I did find this to be true to its description.

This cheese powder is delicious!

Decent “Kraft cheese” replacement. Used with protein pasta. The flavor is pretty close but does have a different tang than Kraft. It’s not my favorite but my family seems to enjoy it. Like that it’s dye free. Nice packaging.

When I heard how bad Krafts Mac and Cheese was I decided to make my own. Bought this to try and it’s much better and healthier for you. Simple to make, just add milk and butter with some salt and pepper and some shredded cheddar cheese and super yummy. Definitely will keep on hand . Thanks

Closer to a sharp white cheddar flavor than anything else. Not as cheddary as I’d hoped.

A dangerous addictive ingredient! Easy to add to any dish to create that cheddar cheese flavor. Especially good in making homemade mac&cheese.

Kept getting delayed. It was in stock when I ordered and delayed twice.I like the product but they cannot ship on time

We purchased this to aid in meal prepping. You can take high protein noodles, some ground beef, and add this mix to come out with a really nice, flavorful hamburger helper that doesn’t make dieting so miserable.

This stuff is exactly what I was looking for. Ignore the low ratings that say the flavor has changed or whatever. As someone who has never purchased anything from this company before, I had no frame of reference for what this stuff tasted like a year ago. What I just got is amazing. I put it on lupini flakes for a kind of cheesy couscous and it was everything I hoped it would be. Didn't even need to add salt.

Tasty and easy to use. Great deal and we save money buying this rather than little boxes of mac n cheese.

Tastes sort of like Kraft cheese powders. This one is weirdly thin though and doesn't distribute properly when you mix it with milk and butter into freshly boiled (in my case gluten-free) pasta. The cheese powder doesn't really stick to the pasta and just slides off and disappears into the accompanying liquid. Not sure if this is a flaw of the gluten-free pasta or the cheese powder. I understand wheat pasta congeals liquids better due to its content.It's very thin making the accompanying liquid just "cheese water". The more you stir, the cheese powder added to the freshly boiled pasta either dissolves into the water essentially disappearing, or it wads into a cheese clump that collects on your mixing utensil.

I've tried a bunch of different cheese powders trying to find one that resembles that cheesy goodness that is Kraft mac and cheese cheese powder. This is the best one so far. One of my favorite things to make with it is cheesey protein dip. 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, 1 scoop of unflavored whey protein (optional), and 3 to 4 tablespoons of this Big Daddy cheese powder, stir it up and eat it with chips. I love it.

My whole family has loved this cheese powder for years now. Hoosier Hill always delivers with the flavor and quality! When you open it up, it smells delicious. It has an almost buttery scent to go along with the cheesiness. I can't say enough good things about this stuff. It's super versatile. You can use it in just about any savory dish. It's quite forgiving if you decide to experiment with it.

Ok. Amazing. Mix butter and milk- I use buttermilk, quickly on stove until blended- then add your Mac. I add extra cheese afterwards and yes- I’m gross- made baked potato Mac and cheese with this. Ok. I can’t. It was that good. Jack and cheddar- top with mozzarella and oven for 7 minutes. You’re welcome

This wonderful cheese powder makes my cheesy dishes taste divine. Broccoli rice and cheese, cheesy tuna, loaded mashed potatoes. Shelf stable and it makes my refrigerated cheese last longer. The flavor of this cheese mix is superb! Tip: add a dash if double mustard to bring out that cheesy flavor!

I love this stuff. been buying it for years. I use it for popcorn and add in extra for mac and cheese or make my own. 2 complaints of this gift from god product that has nothing to do with the taste, flavor or texture. Price and size options. They used to sell this in a big bag but they took that away. I would buy that not just for buying in bulk, but also I don't feel like I am being wasteful with the thick plastic. container. For the price, not happy that its a higher for getting no color vs the orange. I would have thought its the opposite. But being a white powder makes it entertaining in theaters when I wip a baggy of this stuff out and I tell my friends "I really need to like this movie." Other than those complaints taste and texture is perfect.

I love this stuff. It makes the best mac and cheese. My kid said it's the best tasting she has ever had. It is that good.

I've only used this as a replacement for Kraft Mac n Cheese. It's good, but not quite as good imo. Worth trying, you might like it better than me. I'm diabetic, so I use this with diabetic friendly elbows. Haven't tried it on popcorn yet, but I bet it will do just fine.

I really wanted to like this but you have to add so much to get any flavor it’s not worth it by the time your done. It does have good flavor and I do like that there is no artificial colors or dyes.? Just can’t see paying so much for the amount you have to use.

This is a great back up staple for the pantry for when you run out of cheese & just need a little hint of cheese to complete your running low on groceries & you just don't feel like going to the store.

Mixed well, takes delicious.I already need to stock more!
