Customers praised this powder for baking and cooking, noting "no additives" and great taste in recipes. Many found it convenient for shelf storage, though several noted mixing challenges with clumping in cold liquids. "Tastes like whole milk" when properly reconstituted. Some felt the container size was small for the price. Best results achieved using warm water and overnight refrigeration.

No like

I like to drink milk powder, can be conducive to health, forced constitution. Then I found this formula on Amazon. It was highly rated, so I bought it. But when I received the goods, can not wait to make a cup of milk powder, its taste is not very good, and I imagined not the same. I can only give 3 stars. But its price is very low, just can't stand the taste

It could be better

A picture is worth a thousand words. See photos of what I received.

The instructions make 1/3 gallon which is awkward math when you don't need that much

I'm docking stars because of the amount math needed to make just 1 cup of milk. The instructions could use more options. I use it as a substitute for condensed milk and as coffee creamer. It says one serving is 1tbsp but that's not actually going to make a proper cup on milk. The instructions say to make 1/3 gallon of milk requires 1.5 cups of powder. 1/3 gallon of milk is 5.3 cups. 1.5 cups of powder is 24 tbsps. Thus to make 1 cup of milk you need about 4 tbsps for one 8oz glass of milk. It only gets more complicated if you need to make condensed milk or coffee creamer. You essentially need 1.5 cups of milk to make 1 cup of condensed milk and 1.25 to make creamer.

Skimped?

Wasn't filled up all the way. I just noticed this. I bought a few of these powders and only 3 were filled. This is good quality though which is why I'm upset even if the ounces are the reason.

Bulk packaging. Wish I’d known.

I have not yet tasted it, But I wanted to quickly share information that this is a bulk product. One big bag. The one photo gives the impression that it comes in multiple plastic containers, or at least that’s what I assumed. I am just grateful to find a place to get whole milk quality so I will look beyond this setback but be sure you have a way to store it if you purchase it this way.

Muy buen producto.

I am a frequent buyer of this product. It is very good and meets my expectations and those of my family. But this time it has come with a considerable shortage in the packaging. I hope that this time this problem is nothing more because the truth is a very good product and I would like to continue buying it.

Taste is fine, but I wish there would be more user friendly instruction

The taste is fine. I have never used powder milk before, so not sure what to expect. I decided to buy it to use it with coffee if i run out of regular milk. My assumption was that i would add a spoon of powder milk in my coffee and we are all set. But it does not work like this. I have to mix it with water first and then mix with coffee. Then we see the most frustrating part. The mixing instruction. See the picture :) if you need just 2 spoons of milk for your coffee you need a calculator :)

Good Taste, Know Your Sizing Needs

10/10 for taste 2/10 for my attempt to convert milliliters to quarts before my child decided to “help” and started whisking milk powder everywhere. 🥲 Screen shot the mixing proportions and save that heartache.

No expiration written...

It takes like a regular milk powder. I don't believe it would be like milk. I keep it around for the cooking purpose. I put it when i run out of milk. I occasionally did for coffee. Not as good as coffee but better than nothing. Good for travel. A little concerning part is that there's no expiration anywhere. I really don't like that.

Surprising

Ok, most of us have had powdered milk at some point and we all remember the nasty taste. This is not that powdered milk. I was very pleasantly surprised! It is rich, sweet and creamy. I liked it so much that I subscribed and am receiving the larger bag every three months. I store it in vacuum sealed quart jars with mixing instructions on top. No more running to the store for milk! I very highly recommend Hoosier Hill Farm whole milk powder. Excellent.

Toddler moms, get this.

My toddler loves this and we use it exclusively for fulfilling her whole milk needs. I even mix small amounts of powdered shrimp, egg, and peanut into the powder while reconstituting it for continued allergen exposure with no issues whatsoever and no impact to taste. If you follow the directions and use the proper mixing ratio, warm water for blending, and let it sit in the fridge overnight, it should taste rich and creamy like good store bought whole milk. I love that there's no waste, it saves me running to the store continuously for more milk for my toddler, and it lasts a long time as a powder. Moms, get this if you want more convenience.

Tasty great in coffee,no additives, creamy tast

Taste great in your coffee I used to use The one called the original coffee creamer, original dry, coffee creamer, but it has Corn syrup solid which are carbohydrates which turns into sugars in your body and I could use powdered milk in my coffee tried Powdermilk from acme and it was OK, but it was fat free. this is whole milk and taste stronger like a cow or a farm yes it reminds me of wholesome goodness it’s stronger flavor than the fat-free but I like it very much in a coffee I had powdered milk from a cardboard box before and the powdered milk took on the flavor of the cardboard box. This is packaged in a plastic jar with a lid, which keeps the flavor and does not tant the flavor., Bottom line good price good flavor good product. I will be putting this on auto once I find out how long this Jar will last my coffee in the morning now is much more enjoyable. I don’t get that weird feeling in my gut later on in the day. from living on coffee all morning. if you’re looking for a dry creamer and you really like your coffee, you owe it to yourself to try this coffee creamer, which is nothing more than dried whole milk. Nothing else nothing else that you don’t need just good wholesome dry milk. oh, OK. This taste that I am tasting is not a farm taste. It’s actually cream taste since I don’t have cream that much. Don’t even remember what cream taste like., I just came back from Walmart and got whole milk powder great value brand , it has the cardboard flavor no good , this brand from Amazon is good great flavor in coffee, tossing out Walmart brand.UPDATE 12/25 just got my order in and it’s the same good taste I missed in my coffee so happy Amazon has this it’s very hard to get good dry milk this is the best you can get no additive real milk like in the old days I will be putting this on auto order and never run out , I you want or need dry milk this is the one to get DONT BOTHER WITH OTHER BRANDS ,we the people have done that for you just read the reviews and injoy this powdered milk and I will be reading your reviews soon , the flavors are real the milk is really good, I drink 2 cups now it was 1 cup a day now it’s 2 cups at a time because it just taste great , used with tasters choice coffee and it’s heaven no bitterness just smooth taste I had to give this update because I missed this so much , throughout my coffee mate chemical concoction that they sell you as creamer it’s all unnatural and chemically derived and bad for your body.

Quick shipping. I keep this as a shelf staple. I always have milk for cooking and grand kids without the risk of the milk souring. It works the best if you mix and let it sit in the fridge overnight. However, it works well with a quick mix, too. I use a frother to mix water and dry powder.

Does not blend well

I have done everything suggested to make this milk powder blend well. This includes starting with warm water using a whisk, etc. Despite letting it chill overnight and shaking it, not only did it separate before I shook it, there are still clumps everywhere inside the milk. I would not recommend this
